Interview with N.N. Light
Our interview with N. N. Light is a bit of a departure for the Paranormal Romance Guild. Typically, we interview authors, not service providers. But N. N. Light presents us with the opportunity to explore author services such as editing and cover design (N. N. Light’s Book Heaven) or promotions and marketing for authors (N. N. Light Author Promotions)–both traditionally published, hybrid or indie, seasoned author or new to the business–the N. N. Light team offers individualized options, no matter what your previous exposure to author services and marketing has been.
Five Star Reviews
Rita Hayworth, yes that was the actual name her parent’s blessed her with, turned 43 and a day later her husband of twenty years announced he was leaving her for two twenty-two year olds, haha, not funny. Her daughter is in college, her future prospects are not looking good and then a package is delivered to her that would change her life.
This is the second book in this series, a series that follows the life of Rita Hayworth from the time she first enters the world of magic, the various species she meets and how she becomes the Magistrate presiding over disputes between parties from the magical world. We see how she adjusts to this new life and how she once again finds love. What I am saying here is that to truly be a part of her life from beginning to end then this series must be read in order.
This amazing second book of the Magic and Steam series opens up with our intrepid hero, Gillian Hamilton, in a new city. Gillian is now in New York City, facing new enemies and figuring out his relationship with Constantine Gunner. The narrative is full of so many delicious details that work to create a phenomenal steampunk atmosphere for the reader. It is so immersive you really feel like you are in the alternate universe and getting ready to celebrate the New Year….in 1881.
Emma Rose Murphy has had a lot of loss in her life, her fiance, her brother, father and her mother shot accidentally and dying in her arms. With no reason to remain in Pennsylvania she sells the house and everything in it and joins her Aunt Margaret and Uncle Ryan who are going to be heading to Oregon City by wagon train. A six month trip with no luxuries but hopefully at the end a new beginning.
In this fourth volume of the saga of our apprentice, Lilian is now halfway through her mandated sentence. After helping her boss and mentor, Lucius, to save his position in the Cartel, our duo now go off world to the planet of Fortuna. Manetti continues to give us a world of danger and intrigue. There is a sense of impending doom from page one that is unrelenting throughout the series and this book is no exception. Lilian begins to have nightmares, are they memories or visions of the future? As the relationship between Lucius and Lilian continues to change and grow, so do the dangers facing the two.
This book is part of a collection that has a mysterious magic shop in common. Each book is written as a separate world and can be read individually and in any order. And y’all this one is so very yummy!!! It is a fantasy set in a world where the supernatural are part of our everyday world, but maybe all is not as equal as it should be. The struggle of facing the past and not letting it color how we see our present is a constant theme in this book.

Jenn Moffatt
In November, our Web Mistress/friend/sister-in-arms Jenn Moffatt began her final voyage after a long stay at the ICU (unrelated to the pandemic). As she was a devout Trekkie, we like to think that final voyage took her where she always wanted to be: with the stars.
Jenn touched a lot of hearts over the years. She would fight for the underdog and would be more than willing to help someone if they needed it. She never gave up on her dreams and inspired many of us to chase our dreams, encouraging us when we needed it and smacks on the head when we deserved them. She was well-loved, like family, and our hearts are heavy with losing her. This site will be a bit dimmer without her.
Jenn was a stubborn Leo with a heart of gold, possessing talents many people can only wish they had. Despite the adversity she'd faced since birth, she always moved forward, not letting anything hold her back. There are not enough words to describe just how much she will be missed.
